1. Ambassador to Nicaragua Hong Seok-hwa from the Republic of Korea and Vice-Minister for Foreign Cooperation Arlette Marenco of Nicaragua signed a bilateral agreement concerning the mutual recognition of driver’s licenses in Nicaragua on November 4, local time.

° The agreement, when brought into force on the 30th day from the day the necessary domestic procedures have been completed, is expected to greatly improve immigration-related administrative convenience for Koreans in Nicaragua.

2. The ROK, having concluded agreements on the mutual recognition of driver’s licenses with 131 countries, will seek such agreements with more countries in continued efforts to resolve challenges and promote convenience of overseas Koreans.
