1. Second Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahn Chong-ghee will attend a meeting of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) Ministerial Council, to be held in Havana, Cuba, from March 8 to 10, as head of the ROK delegation.

o The ROK delegation will attend the meeting at the invitation of the ACS Secretariat and Cuba, which will wrap up its one-year presidency of the ACS at the upcoming meeting.

2. Vice Minister Ahn’s participation in the forthcoming meeting is expected to serve as a good opportunity to further enhance connectivity with the Caribbean region, established through Minister Yun Byung-se’s participation in the ACS Summit in June last year, as well as to expand cooperation with the ACS on key global agendas, including climate change and sustainable development.
