1. The Foreign Ministry has raised the travel-alert level for the area in Saudi Arabia within 80 kilometers from its border with Yemen to “Red Alert (Travel Restricted)” from the previous “Yellow Alert (Highly Cautious),” effective from April 21.

° The decision was made in consideration of the fact that amid Yemen's armed Houthi rebels increasingly launching missile attacks on Saudi Arabia since October 2016, such major countries as the US and the UK are banning travels to the border area between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

* Clashes are ongoing between the legal government of Yemen and the military of the Arab League, with Saudi Arabia having intervened in the conflict since March 2015.

* The US restricts and the UK bans travels within the 80 kilometers of the Saudi-Yemen border.
